Who's actually on the other end of the call?

The humans behind this

Varako is a small team with backgrounds in behavioural research and movement coaching, running an educational webinar series rather than an individual training service.

Who actually built the Varako webinar series?

A small group made up of a behavioural researcher, a movement coach and a facilitator who has spent years running group learning sessions. None of them offer private coaching under the Varako name. The sessions exist because all three kept running into the same pattern: people didn't fail because they lacked information about squats or intervals, they failed because the plan asked for a version of their life they didn't have.

Session leads

Who leads the live calls each month?

Elena Marsh

Behavioural research lead

Spent over a decade studying how habits form and collapse outside laboratory conditions. Elena designs the frameworks discussed in each session and hosts the segment on tracking and motivation.

Marcus Odell

Movement structure lead

Formerly worked in group fitness programme design. Marcus builds the session-structure content, the strength, mobility and cardio breakdowns, and leads the live demonstration segments.

Why is this called a webinar series and not a training programme?

Because that's precisely what it is. Each session is educational: it explains concepts, structures, and behavioural frameworks that participants apply on their own terms, at their own pace, in their own homes. Nobody at Varako reviews individual training logs, prescribes specific exercises to a specific person, or offers medical or nutritional guidance. Anyone looking for one-on-one personal training or individualized programming would need a different kind of service entirely.

This distinction matters to the team. It keeps the sessions affordable, keeps the content general enough to be broadly useful, and keeps expectations honest from the first email.

What guides the sessions

What does the team actually care about when planning a session?

Realism over ambition

Every framework discussed is tested against a genuinely busy week, not an idealized one.

Repetition over intensity

Content is built around what can be repeated for months, not what looks impressive for one week.

Plain explanation

Behavioural concepts are explained in ordinary language, without unnecessary jargon.

Clear boundaries

Sessions stay educational. Anything resembling individual medical or training advice is out of scope.
